Mack English is a 20-year-old newcomer to dirt track racing. He is also this month's Young Racer's Club winner. Hailing from Tiger, Georgia, Mack is like many of our YRC winners, he comes from a family of racers. His father, Wesley, and his two uncles, Doug and Melvin, have all been racing for more than 25 years. Compared to some YRC winners, Mack got his start in racing a little late. He climbed behind the wheel of his Limited Late Model at the end of last year at his home track of Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, GA. So far this year, he has raced almost every weekend and in addition to Toccoa's shows he also competes in the Southeastern Late Model Sportsman Series. As of this writing, Mack's best finish is a third and he currently sits fifth in Southeastern Late Model Sportsman Series points.
The whole family helps with getting the Barry Wright car ready each week and they all turn out for the racing on Saturday night. The Englishes prove that racing is a family sport with all members proud of their newest racer. Well Mack, we know that the $250 from our friends at RHS will be put to good use. Good luck and let us know when you notch that first win!
