Obviously, it took brave men to drive these stylish machines. The tail carries a 30-gallon aluminum fuel tank, although it doesn't carry the rubber bladder of today. In front of the tank, you can see the rounded rollbar located directly behind the driver. The low slung bar was welded to the frame and despite its placement, it was still imperative in a rollover for the driver to duck down low in the cockpit and hang on for dear life.
