Aaron Moyer, Eden, WI
This month's Young Racers' Club winner hails from Eden, Wisconsin and his name is Aaron Moyer. Aaron turned 17 recently and is a junior at Campbellsport High School. Now many 17-year-olds have a wide variety of interests outside of school, but not Aaron. He reports that racing is his one and only hobby and he "can't get enough." The teen races Legends cars and calls Madison International Speedway his home track. In 2009 he had a stellar season with eight feature wins and only one DNF, plus he never finished worse than Fourth in any race. Now you would think that his performance would be enough to capture the championship but he actually wound up second in points.
"Being from Wisconsin is hard because our season is short because of the cold," says Moyer. "So, we did a bit of travelling. In addition to racing in Wisconsin, we also ran in Illinois, Michigan and North Carolina."
Being a sharp racer, Moyer took time to thank his sponsors on his YRC entry form. They are: Lake Country Pediatrics, Set In Ink, Fred's Fastrac, Sheboygan Pool and Spa, and J F Ahern.
Well Aaron, as this month's Young Racers' Club winner we've got a $250 gift certificate from our good friends at RHS headed your way. Enjoy!
