Jericos three-speed transmission is used in the American Road Racing Association and others, where lighter cars are common, and on tracks where there arent any especially slow turns. It is basically a four-speed with the first gear removed and that slot locked out. It costs less, is lighter, and has less rotating weight than its four-speed cousin. If you can get by without a true low gear, this may be the option for you. View Related Article
