There isn’t a mid level oval track racer out there who doesn’t scale his car. At least we here at Circle Track hope there isn’t one out there who doesn’t scale his car. Scaling is, after all, a critical component to achieving the balanced setup. Well, thanks to the engineers at Intercomp, scaling your race car just got more accurate with the introduction of its new family of Ultra Low Deflection RFX Wireless Scale Systems dubbed Microflex.

Microflex scales, which feature four load cells per pad, give the user the lowest possible deflection while providing the highest level of accuracy, repeatability, and stability for the most precise chassis setup. Microflex scales represent the industry’s first four load cell per scale pad design while utilizing the same integrated RFX Wireless Weighing Technology utilized by champions in all forms of motorsports.

Microflex Scales offer an ultralow deflection, four load cell per pad technology, and can be found in three unique scale configurations: a 2.5-inch standalone scale pad, scale pad leveler with integrated leveling feet, and scale setup rack with built in scale systems. Microflex is currently being used at Joe Gibbs Racing and the success was demonstrated by the team’s First and Second place finishes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Race held April 30, 2011, at the Richmond International Speedway.

All Microflex Scale Systems include both an RFX Wireless Handheld Indicator and Intercomp RaceWeigh software. Battery life is more than 400 hours in the pads and rechargeable batteries. A battery charger and case are included for use with the indicator. The system has an 8,000-pound system capacity and encryption ensures secure wireless communication. Weights are able to be displayed on the RFX Indicator and in Intercomp RaceWeigh Software Simultaneously.

Just as with all other Intercomp quality scale systems, the superior 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum Scale Pads offer greater flatness, certified calibration to 0.1 percent, and a standard 2 year warranty. The system’s MSRP is $4,995 and includes RFX indictor and RaceWeigh Software, four billet scale pads, and integrated RFX Wireless Weighing Technology to transmit data from the pads (PN 170201). Part number 170188 comes with all of the aforementioned features as well as levelers for $6,495.
