Racing is about winning and losing, but if you are going to be losing, it is best to do your losing on the track. Too many racers have found out the hard way that losses can occur away from the competition. There is no greater shock than to wake up one morning and find your hauler missing from the motel parking lot.
It happens far too often. The thieves may not know exactly what they are getting, but you do. They are getting everything that you have worked to buy, borrow, or accumulate through your racing career. They are also taking your next opportunity when they steal from you.
The horror stories of trailers stolen and parts stolen from trailers served as a motivating factor for Tommy Johnson Sr. and his Advanced Wireless Technology company. Better known for their "Wireless Winch" system, Johnson utilized the technology from that device and put the knowledge into good use. The end result is a simple alarm system that installs in minutes. That's much less time than you'd spend filing a police report for a missing trailer.
To install the system, you simply place the door sensors and alarm warning speakers in the spots where you need them. Mount the control box in a preferred location and hook up the wires to the battery. In addition to the ground wire and positive wire, there are optional yellow wires, which serve as the shock sensor. If these wires are installed, a strobe or flashing light will be activated when someone tampers with the trailer. These wires can also lock the trailer brakes.

Upon receipt of your kit, you will find the wires are clearly marked. Make sure you attach the ground wire before hooking the positive wire to the positive terminal on the battery.
Installation tips1. Connect the proper wires to the proper terminals of the battery (Positive wire to positive terminal, negative wire to negative terminal). The ground wire must be hooked up before the positive wire.
2. Door transmitters are preprogrammed. They may be screwed onto the trailer or stuck on with adhesive.
3. Arrows must align on each half of the door transmitters.
4. Do not mount the brain box in a cabinet or under the floor. The antenna must receive a good signal from the door transmitters to work effectively.
5. Antenna length is preset at the factory, so there is no need to cut the antenna wire.

6. The yellow wires have a 7-amp maximum capacity and will need a 30-40-amp automotive relay if the flashing lights or trailer electric brake require more than 14 amps.
7. The trailer can be armed and disarmed with the remote key fob. One touch is all that is necessary to arm the trailer. You have 20 seconds after activation to leave the trailer.
