19. If you suspect a bent rearend, there is a quick check that doesn’t even require removing the rear tires. Use a tape measure and have a member of the crew secure the end in the tread of the tire. Now run the tape across the rearend and pick a mark along a tread on the opposite tire. Spin the wheel and if the tread holds steady at the mark on the tape you know the rearend is straight. If the treat wobbles relative to the tape, you’ve got problems.
