2. It may seem like a little bit of a pain, but Strickler recommends pulling the driveshaft after every race to inspect the U-joints. Almost all Dirt Modified classes like IMCA are focused on limiting costs, and a big rule in that package is disallowing aluminum or carbon fiber driveshafts. If a steel driveshaft breaks at race speeds, it can do some real damage to both the car and driver, so it is definitely a good idea to give it a little extra attention.
