Would Dale still be here with us if he had worn a head-and-neck restraint? No one can answer that. What I do know is that this one racing-world changing event caused an uproar that sent ripples throughout the racing community and motivated the governing bodies to enact changes that have proven to be effective in reducing the risk of driving a race car. I for one believe his death has ultimately saved so many of his fellow racers. I still miss him. View Related Article
