How are we finding pinion angle these days old days we set pinion at 3 deg down but who knows if that's been correct drive shaft people tell me trans and pinion should be the same ie trans 2 deg down and pinion 2 deg up is this true ? I think we're killing our power on these crate motors having the wrong angles please help Thank you :confused:

NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR BIDS The Charlotte County Airport Authority (CCAA) will be accepting sealed bids for a land lease for the management, promotion, marketing, operation and maintenance of the facility formerly known as the Punta Gorda Speedway. The site consists of approximately 24± acres and will be leased on an “as is basis”. The first lease payment will be due nine (9) months after the execution of the lease or the first day of racing, whichever comes first. A tour of the track will be held on May 15, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. Immediately following the tour a Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the Charlotte County Airport Authority’s Meeting Room, Building 313, 7375 Utilities Road (behind the Sheriff’s Office), Punta Gorda, Florida. Bid packages will be ready at that time. A second tour of the track will be held on June 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with a meeting immediately following at the Charlotte County Airport Authority’s Meeting Room. All bids are to be sealed in an envelope clearly marked “Speedway Bid 2013-003” and received by 2:00 p.m. on July 26, 2013. Bids will NOT be accepted by facsimile or e-mail. The Charlotte County Airport Authority may, in its sole and absolute discretion, accept or reject any or all bids, with or without cause, readvertise this Request for Bids (RFB), postpone or cancel, at any time, this RFB process, and accept the highest bid and responsible proposal which CCAA determines to be in its best interests. Hey guys, I built my first stock car over the last few weeks. I brought it out to the track yesterday for the first time. I seemed to pull pretty good on the straights against the other cars. However in the turns they were quite fast. My series is supposed to be stock camber, toe. What are some things I can do to help my car corner better. I heard that some of them adjust their camber to the edge of what is considered stock. I dont really know anything about alignment or how much this is. When i was cornering I found my back was starting to slide out. I have a video I can upload if you guys want to see. Any tips are appreciated Thanks, Kevin

Being new to the 4 cylinder, especially EFI, I have to run the stock efi and stock ignition system in this dual plug 2.3L Ford engine. Has anyone dealt with trying to adjust these engines within the computers range without it acting out of wack in tuning?

Hello all... I am new to the world of circle track racing but very familar with the drag racing end of things. I bought a race ready 1993 Geo Storm Pro 4 racecar... I just need to get a seat, belts, and wheels/tires... the track I will be racing at will be former Desoto Speedway now under new ownership and named Full Throttle Speedway. Its a 3/8 mile banked oval... Pro 4 is not allowed a lot of suspension adjustment, we are allowed to elongate the holes on the struts on the top and the wheel... the car is a base Geo Storm so I was gonna add a GSI Storm rear sway bar... eventually I will add the 1.8 DOHC Storm GSI motor which will give me 40hp and 18lb ft over the SOHC 1.6 that's in it now. Any help with setup, tire sizes (I believe we will run a spec Hoosier) will be appreciated. TIA

It was a low car count with 14 of the best taking on the Anderson speedway with only 2 cars in the 12 second range we knew that we were going to have a fast race. Fast time was set by Scott Coe from Ft Wayne, Indiana driving the Coe Heating and A/C car at 12.858, seconds with Brian Nester from Hamilton Indiana at 12.988 sec. and third was Jerry Hammond from Ft Wayne, Indiana at 13.182. With Coe drawing a 10 and then the redraw Coe pulled a 5 giving him a 5th place position to start the race. Jerry Hammond and Joe Jennings would be on the front row. When the green came out on this cold night Hammond would jump out to take the lead and it would take 6 laps for Coe to over take Hammond. After that it would be Coe and Nester on lap 7. The yellow would be displayed for Buck Purtee for a right front flat tire. The race was back on and we would see 43 green flag laps with Nester trying all he could do to move Coe from the top spot. With the fast pace they would put 3rd place down a lap on lap 47 then as they came to the white flag all the fans where on their feet and going in to turn 1 Nester and Coe would do battle all the way to turn 3 and 4 with Nester and Coe making contact. Both car's would spin. As Coe was trying to get his car moving, Hammond would make contact with Coe and end his night.
