Using Your Noodle
For an inexpensive fix to help see the cables to the ramp of your car or kart trailers install swimming pool funnoodles to the cables. Take a razor blade and cut down the middle and fit the noodle over the cables. They install and uninstall very easily. When you are busy going back and forth in and out of the hauler this makes it easy to see the cables, especially during the night hours. Plumbing insulation will work also but are only black or gray, making it harder to see. You can purchase the funnoodles at any Wal-Mart or wherever swimming pool toys are sold. I paid $2.50 each at the end of the season.

Clip Those Zips
To cut zip ties close so that they don't have any sharp edges, I use a pair of dog toe nail clippers. They cut it fast and close. I find that they work a lot better than wire cutters and they also cost less than $4!
