The Heim connector must be exactly perpendicular to the lower controlarm as well as the sway bar arm to avoid binding. Check the alignmentfrom a front and side view before finalizing the layout. This setupallows bolting the upper Heim to the shock mount bolt to avoid having toweld a bracket onto the lower control arm. The sway bar arm will need tobe bent and fitted to this location.

A square piece of tubing is welded from the very front of the frame tothe sway bar housing tube. The length of this connector tube willdetermine the arm angle relative to the lower control arm as well as theground clearance of the assembly.

At the left side of the car, the sway bar arm is attached to a sway barbumper, or "slapper," which rests on a plate welded to the lower controlarm. Note that it is placed as close to the lower ball joint as possibleto give the sway bar the most effect.
