Wheely Cool Off The Track
Dale Earnhardt Jr. has teamed up with American Racing Equipment to jointly design, develop, and market a line of upscale aftermarket performance wheels. Scheduled for an early 2007 release, the line will feature performance wheels for trucks, sport utility vehicles, late-model muscle cars, and performance passenger cars.
"The Dale Earnhardt Jr. wheel line will be cool," said Dale Jr., "and later we'll release some three-piece designs along with some billet and hot rod stuff."
The wheels will feature special signature series badging and a lifetime structural warranty. Initial product offerings will be available in sizes ranging from 17 inches to 24 inches for trucks (on and off-road), sport utility vehicles, and cars. Now, wouldn't those look great on your tow vehicle? For more information, visit www.americanracing.com.
Here's one less thing to worry about on race day. Out-Pace Racing Products, the Illinois-based manufacturer of racing suspension components, has developed a patented system for lubricating and maintaining rod ends. The new greaseable rod end system features a unique design that lubricates rod ends from the inside out, thus flushing away dirt that may seize or wear out the rod end. (Note the grease fittings in the photo.) This patent-pending system reduces friction and maintenance time while extending rod end life.
Out-Pace offers a complete line of components featuring the greaseable rod end system. For more information, call 815/275-0221 or visit www.out-pace.com.
As Pit Pal Products turns 25 years young this season, the company is celebrating by introducing a slew of new products, 35 to be exact. One of them caught our eye: the HANS Device Locking Holder. Since top-of-the-line safety equipment isn't cheap, it's a good idea to secure it. But a HANS Device can take up a lot of room in a trailer. Pit Pal's new device solves that problem by easily mounting to your trailer or wall, freeing up cabinet space for other items. It's also simple to use. By sliding in your HANS from the right side and locking it in place, you keep it safe from damage or theft and out of the way until you need it.
The HANS Device Locking Holder is made of sturdy 0.090-inch aluminum and retails for $134.99. For more information, call 888/748-7257 or visit www.pitpal.com.
At last, there's an easy-to-use manual valvespring compressor sturdy enough to handle the high-rate valvesprings used on today's high-performance engines. The Powerhouse(r) Products heavy-duty manual spring compressor features a welded steel box-tubing frame along with an over-center clamping device that can compress any valvespring. It also features a compressor arm that slides up and down, allowing a full range of adjustment. A quick-release locking pin is used for speed and ease of use.
As an added bonus, this unique spring compressor can be purchased with an optional base, which holds the unit upright so the compressor can be used in conjunction with a mini spring tester. For more information, call 800/872-7223 or visit www.powerhouseproducts.com.
