Hooters ProCup Series Opens Northern OfficeThe United Speed Alliance Racing (USAR) Hooters ProCup series has announced the opening of a satellite office at Jennerstown (Pa.) Speedway.
"We are very excited to solidify our partnership with Jennerstown Speedway," USAR President Gene Cox said. "Steve Peles has a first-class operation at Jennerstown Speedway, and we look forward to a long and beneficial relationship with the track. USAR has aquired partnership in the facility, and we look forward to returning to the track in 2002 with the Hooters ProCup series."
Jimmy Wilson was promoted to director of the Northern Division and assumed his duties late in the fall.
"I feel this office will show competitors that USAR is committed to the Northern Division, and the location will be convenient for everyone," said Wilson.
Busch Series To Run
Daytona Twice In '02
The NASCAR Busch Grand National Series will run in conjunction with the Winston Cup series next July in Daytona. The Busch series will run a 250-mile (100-lap) race on Friday night preceding the Cup race.
"Having the Busch series race is a great addition to the Pepsi 400 weekend," said speedway President John Graham. "The combination of the Winston Cup series and the Busch series in July at Daytona gives us an event schedule second only to Speedweeks in February."
Dirt Late Model Hall Of Fame
It's about time! Finally, dirt Late Model racing is getting recognition long overdue. The National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame has been formed to recognize the great people who were the pioneers of the sport, as well as current and future generations of drivers and other individuals. There will be five honorees from each of three categories. Those include active and retired drivers and individuals who have contributed to the sport. The ceremony will take place near the end of each season at Florence (Ky.) Speedway.

Crew chief Tommy Baldwin can usually be found hovering over the No. 22 Caterpillar Dodge of Ward Burton. But when the 2002 season rolls around, you're going to see Baldwin put on his car owner hat. He and long-time friend Eddie D'Hondt have announced they are forming a Busch Grand National team for '02.
