NewsmakersTire TroubleNASCAR ruled that teams be required to pick up right-side tires immediately following every pit stop or suffer a penalty. The new rule, implemented because of an unusually high incidence of stray tire mishaps, was to take effect beginning with the Body Pain 500 at Martinsville.
Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-ChangesNASCAR amended its mandatory standard-issue shock rule for the next superspeedway race.
