Weld Racing is kicking things up with two great charity events for Kick It for Children’s Cancer, part of Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Foundation, held this week in Knoxville, Iowa.

The first charity benefited by Weld Racing is the Tony Stewart Kart Race Spectacular where Stewart and Jeff Gordon will race against participants in each heat. Tony Stewart was just hospitalized with a leg injury, so a replacement will be announced soon for that portion of the charity. The winner of the kart race will receive a one-of-a-kind trophy presented by Tony Stewart (pending injury update) and Jeff Gordon.

The entire A Main plans on playing in the Tony Stewart Kick It Cup kickball game. Four teams that will consist of four of the best sprint car drivers in the world, their families, and fans, will meet up for a day of kickball to raise money to fight against children’s cancer. This will take place on Friday, August 9th at Knoxville’s Young Park.

Between innings of kickball fun, an auction will be held to raise additional money for the charity. Weld Racing is supporting big time by donating a set of forged aluminum truck wheels to go to the highest bidder. The winner may choose between 10 styles, from 17 to 20-inches, of Weld’s line of truck wheels with a retail price of over $3,000.

“Weld Racing is pleased to support such a worthy charity” said Chris Bovis, Vice President of Marketing for Weld Racing. “With such a competitive group of racers, we expect both the kickball game and the go kart race action to be hotly contested.”

Both of these events are held in Knoxville, IA. For more information, please visit http://www.kick-it.org/. If you wish to contribute, visit https://www.kick-it.org/about-us/donate.
