See those posts sticking up from the carburetor? Those are the vent tubes, and they have to be able to draw air through them in order for the carburetor to work correctly. Make sure you have at least 1/2-inch of clearance between the top of the vent tubes and the bottom of the air cleaner lid. View Related Article
