Engine Fasteners ARP Head Studs
One interesting design characteristic ARP uses on its cylinder head studs is an undercut on the body of the shorter studs. This allows the stud to stretch more easily, which means the longer and shorter stud provide the same clamping load when torqued in place. This translates to more consistent loading across the cylinder head and better head gasket sealing.
