The scavenged oil exiting the dry sump pump should flow into a manifold from each pump section in order to reduce the restriction. This causes less pressure and lower resistance to pumping the oil, and therefore requires less power to run the oil pump. We can gain anywhere from 5 to 10 or more horsepower by tuning the flow of oil through the pump. View Related Article
