The third link provides force onto the rear axle assembly as the car accelerates. When we install the link at an angle (front down), as the rear end tries to rotate moving the pinion up, the link tries to straighten and become parallel to the force that is applied to it. This places a force downward onto the rear end. Moving the link left and right changes the distribution of that force on the two rear tires. View Related Article
