Steering System And Suspension Front Tires
|
Ackermann is actually the increase in toe-out of the front tires when the wheels are turned. To measure toe, we measure the difference in distance between the front of the tires and the rear of the tires and subtract. This car has toe-out, meaning the front width of the tires is wider than the rear. If we subtract the rear (80 1/8 inches) from the front (80 3/8 inches) we see that this car has 1/4-inch of toe-out.
