The rear moment center function and dynamic properties were defined 60 years ago. That part of the science of automobiles has not changed. The chassis feels the lateral location of the rear MC at a point lying midway between the tops of the springs and the MC's height is the average of the height of the two ends of the locating device, be it a Panhard bar or J-bar, or the center of a Watt's link.
